A recent UpStairs on the Square event was attended by 102 people. A full marketing effort was made by both the restaurant and its co-sponsor, Harvard University, to promote this event including press outreach, in house marketing and a Beansprout Bulletins email campaign to the UpStairs on the Square list.

A post event survey found that of the 102 people in attendance, 82 had heard about the event from the email! Chances are good that the email was the least expensive part of the entire marketing effort but it clearly had the most impact.
